Waves, the annual cultural festival of BITS Pilani Goa, is a floating ocean of talent, artistry, skill, originality, shining lights, booming songs and endless fun. Waves has been a huge success in recent years and is ranked among the top 10 cultural festivals in India, with over 60,000 visitors and turnover of INR 90 lakhs, with over 180 universities participating across the India. It attracts students from all over the country. Various fantastic competitions can be seen throughout Waves. Passionate debates, passionate poetry slams and various other informal gatherings and a wide range of events.

Waves has become the fastest growing Indian cultural festival due to exciting performers, intriguing activities, a loud crowd and a festive Goan vibe.

History of WAVES: –

In recent years, Waves has hosted performances from celebrities such as Farhan Akhtar, Amit Trivedi, Neeti Mohan, Vishal – Shekhar, Priyanka Chopra, Kalki Koechlin, Kailash Kher, Karsh Kale and musical artists such as Nucleya, Ritviz, Quintino, Marnik , and Lost Stories. Well-known comedy troupes such as All India Bakchod, TVF, Being Indian and others have performed at Waves.

Femina Miss India’s sunburns and eliminations also took place at WAVES BITS Pilani Goa. It has become one of the most prestigious university cultural festivals in India. The origins of the event can be traced back to an intra-college festival in 2005.

The fame and glitter of Waves has attracted competitors from all over India every year. In addition, festival attendance and the amount of events have grown at an exponential rate. Waves 2014 featured an international act, The WorldFest, a Coke Studio performance for the Indie Nite and the Searock event, which has become one of India’s largest semi-professional rock band hunting competitions. . Waves 2016 – “Tides of Time” was the subject of BITS Pilani, the 10th anniversary of Waves in Goa.
