Commissioner announces the organization of a cultural festival to present Sindhi culture and heritage

Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch announced the organization of a cultural festival here at the premises of the Sindh Museum from November 15 with the aim of showcasing the culture, heritage, crafts, crafts and sites archeology and history of Sindh around the world

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – November 5, 2021): Hyderabad Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch announced the organization of a cultural festival here at the premises of the Sindh Museum from November 15 with the aim of showcasing the culture , heritage, crafts, crafts and archaeological and historical sites of Sindh around the world.

Presiding over a meeting here on Friday, the commissioner informed that the festival will be jointly organized by the culture department, the district administration and the management of a local hotel in Hyderabad.

The commissioner said Sindh has a rich culture and customs, and there is a need to promote tourism by inviting foreign tourists to showcase the province’s more than 5,000 years of traditions.

“The purpose of organizing such a festival will help showcase the crafts, historical and archaeological sites of Sindh,” he said.

“The promotion of tourism will also help to open up new prospects and employment opportunities for people especially women in the province,” he added.

The meeting was attended by Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner Fuad Ghaffar Soomoro, Additional Deputy Commissioner II Qaim Akbar Numai, Regional Director of Culture and Toursim Makhdoom Gulzar, Regional Director of the National Rural Support Program Ghulam Mustafa Jamro and the Local hotel owner Raees Murad Mushtaq discussed arrangements to organize the festival in a proper manner.

Later, the Commissioner and other meeting participants visited historical and archaeological sites in Hyderabad, including Basant Hall, Mirs Tombs, Ghulam Shah Kalhoro Mausoleum, Mukhi House, Mitha Ram Hostel and Hasrat Mohani Hall .
