Nigerian artists Little Simz and Obongjayar will perform at the international festival

British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz and Nigerian musician Obongjayar have been selected for the Tribeca Film Festival lineup.
The festival, which will take place from June 8 to 19, 2022, unveiled a line-up of 150 feature films, documentaries and short films.
Simbiatu “Simbi” Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, better known by her stage name Little Simz, is a British rapper, singer and actress.

She won Best Album awards at the Ivor Novello Awards and the NME Awards. His fourth album, Sometimes I Might Be Introverted (2021) received widespread critical acclaim, with several publications considering it the best album of 2021. It also won him the 2022 Brit Award for Best New Artist.
Steven Umoh, known by his stage name Obongjayar, is a Nigerian musical artist based in London. The London-based afrobeat and spoken word artist creates intense sounds under the name Obongyah, drawing inspiration from both his Nigerian upbringing and futuristic hip-hop and electronic influences.

Little Simz and Obongjayar collaborated
on a song ‘Point and Kill’ in the album ‘Sometimes I could be Introvert’ in 2021.

The Tribeca Film Festival is an annual film festival organized by Tribeca Productions. It takes place every spring in New York City and features a diverse selection of films, episodes, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming.
