Norwood Fall Arts and Culture Festival seeks more attendees

NORWOOD, MA – The Norwood 150 Committee and the Norwood Space Center will host an arts and culture festival celebrating the diversity of Norwood on Saturday, October 1.

The day-long celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the Norwood Space Center campus at 83 Morse St. It will include a community and cultural stage, international food, family activities, dancing, food vendors artists and more.

“Our hope is to involve as many members of the community who wish to represent their own culture and artistic talents as possible,” explained subcommittee chair Kate Sibbing-Dunn. “We are thrilled to co-host this festival showcasing Norwood art and culture here on the Norwood Space Center campus.”

“We look forward to people seeing what our space has to offer as the backdrop for this special event.” said Angela Merenghi, owner of Little Bird Events, located at the Space Center.

The festival will feature numerous tenants and resident establishments, including Luke Adams Glass Blowing, Boston Irish Brewing, The Magic Room and several studio artists.

Sibbing-Dunn emphasized that, like other events celebrating the city’s anniversary this year so far, “this event is for and by the community.”

“We hope to represent the wide variety of countries and creators who have been an integral part of Norwood’s culture from its inception until today,” she added.
