Reeling 39 LGBTQ + International Film Festival opens tonight | Chicago coil
Today is the opening day of Reeling 39! Chicago LGBTQ + International Film Festival.
The festival will start on September 23 at 7 p.m. with Peeter Rebane’s BIRD OF FIRE at the Music Box Theater.
There will be a Q&A after the screening with the director Peeter Rebane. BIRD OF FIRE is broadcast virtually from Monday September 27 until Sunday October 3.
All Landmark Screenings – $ 13 (Members $ 10)
Opening night film – Film only: $ 18 ($ 15 for members / Limited number of free tickets with membership) | Film and pre-evening: $ 40
Reeling invites the public to once again enjoy the screening of Reeling 39 in theaters, in addition to hosting online screenings.
To protect the health and safety of the public, volunteers, staff, families and the community, they updated their Covid-19 policy to require full proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 PCR test result to attend all screenings and events at the Music Box or Landmark Theaters. A full vaccination means two weeks after the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson. Whatever the vaccination status, masks will be required to enter festival theaters and should be kept on except when actively eating or drinking at your seat.
You will need one of the following to be admitted to the Reeling 39 indoor screenings:
- Physical vaccination record
- Photo of vaccination record
- Digital vaccination record
- Negative COVID-19 PCR test result (within 48 hours of testing)
- Photo ID may be requested
