He will be graciously greeted by Dineta Williams-Trigg, who is a highly respected filmmaker and actress and the founder of this third annual film festival / wrap party night for the local Arizona film community called A night of misfit film festival. This year’s edition of Misfit Films promises to be another packed house of moviegoers watching the most original cinematic quirks and having fun for adults.

Dineta and co-director Gauthier Raad, a French-Lebanese filmmaker, will welcome attendees and guests to their festival home at High Octane Pictures, 9096 East Bahia Drive, Scottsdale, Arizona. A night of misfit film festival was born out of Ms. Williams-Trigg’s desire to celebrate diversity in the Arizona film industry, artistry and to bring people together to have a good time.

The aim of the festival is to create a safe space for true independent filmmakers who have not had the opportunity to have their work screened by audiences at other film festivals. A night of misfit film festival offers an eclectic range of independent shorts that you won’t find anywhere else. A night of misfit film festival don’t play it safe like most film festivals; they take risks. It has become one of the most unique and unique film festivals you have ever experienced in the valley.

On Friday evening, horror and science fiction films will be presented, on Saturday evening comedies and dramas, and on Sunday international short films in collaboration with the world independent film festival. In the final, the festival organizers will reward the best independent films in each category presented at the festival.

In producing the festival lineup, the organizers wanted to include rare gems that don’t get much love into the film festival circuit. Often times, these films are rejected because they lack recognizable stars or deal with unfamiliar, taboo, or weird subjects. A night of misfit film festival will have filmmakers and talent represented from Arizona and around the world. There will be movies that will make you both laugh out loud, cringe in horror, cry, jump out of your seat and dance, wake you up and inspire you.
