Directed by TJ Gnanavel, “Jai Bhim” is based on the real events facing retired Judge Chandru. Suriya reprized the role of Judge Chandru in the film, while Lijimol Jose and Manikandan played prominent roles. The beaming film hit the doors of awards committees and won several awards. “Jai Bhim” was also submitted for Oscar nominations, but the film failed to make the final shortlist.
