Tanikella Bharani to inaugurate Green Film Festival in Hyderabad


Hyderabad: The city’s Sarathi Studios are all set for a new film festival. This time, the festival, which makes it the first of the Telugu states, is entirely dedicated to the environment.

Organized by the NGO Babul Films Society, the 5th Babul Eco Film Festival (BEFF) is presented, in association with Sarathi Studios and Hyderabad Film Club.

The festival will be opened by veteran lyricist and actor Tanikella Bharani on December 25 at 5 p.m. at Sarathi Studios. Poojitha Jonnalagadda will also be in the spotlight.

The film will feature 80 internationally renowned environmental films made over the past two years. The winners of the short film competition will receive prizes presented by Siva Balaji Manoharan and Madhumita. The president of the jury will be Raghuveer P, IFS.

The closing ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on December 26 at Sarathi Studios.
The Babul Eco Film Festival (BEFF), one of the main green film festivals in India, started in June 2017 with the aim of raising awareness of different environmental topics.

Today, the Film Festival is an opportunity for nature lovers to watch eco-friendly films in all genres including documentary, animation, fiction, docu-fiction and many more.
