CAIRO – April 13, 2022: The South Sinai International Festival has announced the launch of its first edition from December 20-28.
Four days of the festival will take place in Sharm el-Sheikh and the remaining four days will take place in Dahab.
The festival’s programming will include a variety of activities in the literary, artistic and sports fields, as well as in the fields of the environment and community development. This will take place in a competitive framework aimed at reviving Egyptian tourism in the governorate of South Sinai, encouraging and supporting individual and collective arts.
The main program of the 1st South Sinai International Festival includes competitions in literary composition, performing arts, sports, photography, design, crafts and South Sinai heritage crafts.
In addition to the main competition, the festival will hold sub-events related to community development and environmental conservation initiatives, and other events related to arts community activities, all held on the sidelines of the festival for all attendees.
The 1st South Sinai International Festival will be held under the auspices of numerous government and private entities and institutions, including the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Culture, Governor of South Sinai and some sponsors and major hotels in South Sinai.
