The Sedona Film Festival, Unify Sedona and PFLAG present “See You Then” on November 20

The Sedona International Film Festival has partnered with Unify Sedona: A Rainbow Alliance and PFLAG Sedona / Verde Valley to present the premiere of “See You Then” on Saturday, November 20 at 7 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theater watching Transgender Day of Remembrance, according to a press release.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is celebrated annually on November 20 – a day on which we honor and commemorate those who have been murdered because of xenophobia and transphobia. Please join Unify Sedona, PFLAG and the Sedona International Film Festival in honoring our transgender and gender nonconforming siblings.

The event will include a preview screening of the award-winning feature film “See You Then”.

Collaborate Consulting, a trans-owned and run consulting firm, will host a post-film roundtable. Led by Samy Figaredo (he / they / them), Lebanese-American actor, activist, activist, consultant and lecturer, Puerto Rican with close ties to actor Pooya Mohseni, the panel will discuss the film “See You Then” from the perspectives of transgender panelists and answer questions from the audience if time permits.

“See you later” focuses on the universal truth that no matter how much you change, a part of you will always stay the same. A decade after breaking up abruptly with Naomi, Kris invites her to dinner to catch up on their complicated life, relationships, and Kris’ transition. During an overnight encounter, they engage in a series of increasingly intimate and vulnerable conversations, before a shocking revelation is revealed.

Much of “See You Then” is based on the personal experiences of director Mari Walker. We look forward to connecting with a collective humanity and touching the hearts of our LGBTQIA and allied communities.

“See You Then” will be presented at the Mary D. Fisher Theater on Saturday, November 20 at 7 pm, followed by a panel discussion. Tickets cost $ 12, or $ 9 for film festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. The theater and film festival office is located at 2030 W. State Route 89A, west of Sedona.
