The Sundance Film Festival will offer booster jabs

The prominent Sundance Film Festival has confirmed that it will take place at the end of January 2022. In order to do its part for society, the Festival has announced that it will offer Covid-19 boosters to all eligible.

The event takes place in Park City, Utah, and the decision comes after the festival announced that all attendees will be required to show proof of three vaccines upon entry.

“As part of our health security, we strive to make booster injections available to people in need who could benefit from them,” said a representative of the Festival. The Envelope. Current guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention state that individuals must have received their second injection at least six months prior to the booster.

The iconic celebration of cinema will also require all of its staff to get tested before the event, and then they will be encouraged to repeat it every 48 hours. Meanwhile, those in the press, industry and other creatives must also prove a negative test before entering. For private events, testing is also necessary. Showing how serious the Festival is in terms of responsibility, food and drink are prohibited at all screenings and wearing a mask is compulsory.

Sundance runs January 20-30. Kanye West’s documentary Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy will be presented in preview, just like the documentary Sinéad O’Connor, Nothing compares, directed by Kathryn Ferguson. Sundance took these huge milestones after the annual Palm Springs Film Festival was canceled on December 29. It was to take place from January 7.

Palm Springs organizers explained, “Based on the current increase in COVID cases, the Palm Springs International Film Society has announced that the Film Festival will not be held this year. After careful consideration, the Film Society believes this is the most responsible decision to ensure the safety of our patrons, filmmakers and staff.
