Gaming operator Wynn Macau will help organize a 2021 Macau – Qingdao Cultural Beer Festival at his Wynn Palace property between July 16 and August 8.
Supported by Tsingtao Macau Beer and Macau Beer Company Limited, the beer festival will be held on the lawn adjacent to the south entrance of Wynn Palace.
“Qingdao and Macao not only share certain geographic and tourist characteristics, but they both served as important ports along the Maritime Silk Road. […] New cooperation platform between the two cities will accelerate Macau’s development […] and moderate diversification of the local economy, ”said executive chairman of the festival’s organizing committee, Wong Fai, in the announcement.
The annual beer festival was started in 1991 as a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Qingdao city and has grown into China’s Oktoberfest or Asia’s largest annual beer festival, with more than 200 brands from beer from around the world participating in a usually held month-long festival. from July to August.
Since 2015, Golden Sands Beach on the west coast of Qingdao has been the main venue for beer festivals, hosting activities ranging from beer tastings, drink competitions, and carnival events.
